As you might already know, Dua e Jameela is the beautiful collection of Asmaul Husna, i.e. beautiful names of Allah (the best names) which are to be recited preferably after the Salatul Fajar (the Fajar prayer). It is called Dua e Jameela because several names of the Almighty God are put together and recited collectively. Here you will learn about Dua e Jameela benefits in Urdu, i.e. Dua e Jameela ki Fazeelat.
Before proceeding to the Dua e Jameela benefits, i.e. Dua e Jameela ki Fazeelat, you must learn about the significance of Allah’s names in Islam, i.e. in Quran and Hadith. The great importance of the beautiful names of the God Almighty the Creator has been explained by Allah Himself in the Holy Quran. Two Quranic references and a Hadith highlighting the significance of Asma-ul-Husna (الۡأَسۡمَآءُالۡحُسۡنَیٰ), are being quoted here. Just go through them to enrich your knowledge and deserve blessings.
Quranic Reference 1: In chapter 59 (Surah Al-Hashr), verse 24 of the Holy Quran, it has been made clear that the best ever titles in the world are those of Allah’s beautiful names. Just note, “To Him belong the best names”.
(Al-Quran: 59:24)
English Translation: “He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”
How many Asma-ul-Husna have been described in this verse? This verse lists five names of Allah, viz. الْعَزِيزُ, الْمُصَوِّرُ, الْبَارِئُ ,الْخَالِقُ and الْحَكِيمُ which mean the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner, the Exalted in Might and the Wise, respectively. As it obvious from the meanings of Asma-ul-Husna, each name of Almighty God describes one of his qualities, traits or characteristics as the sole Creator and Guardian of the universe.
Quranic Reference 2: The verse 180 of chapter 7 (Surah Al-A’raf) from the Noble Book puts even greater emphasis on the obligation to call Almighty Allah by His beautiful names. The words “فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا” (meaning, “So invoke Him by them”) refer to Allah’s command that He should be called and invoked for mercy by these beautiful names.
(7:180)
English Translation: “And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing.”
This verse highlights two important religious obligations. Firstly, as the creatures of Allah, we must call and invoke him for kindness and blessings with Asmaul Husna. Secondly, here we have also been ordered to denounce and leave the company of those who practice deviation concerning Asma ul Husna. It clearly means that practicing deviation regarding His names is a great sin.
Reference from Hadith: Hazrat Abu Huraira reported Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) as saying, “Indeed, there are ninety-nine (99) names of Allah, i.e. hundred excepting one. He who enumerates them would get into Paradise”. (Sahih Al-Bukhari 50:894).
Dua e Jameela benefits have already been highlighted in the verses of the Noble Quran, cited above. In the last Divine Book, Almighty Allah Himself orders people (His creatures) to invoke Him by Asma ul Husna (His beautiful names).
If you make this Dua on daily basis, you will be entitled to get countless blessings of Allah. Meanwhile, your minor and major sins shall be forgiven. Some of the Dua e Jameela benefits are being listed as under:
