What is the best way to enjoy a happy married life? Different scholars answer this question in different ways. Some consider ‘wealth’ as the major factor while others vote in favour of mutual understanding. If you are not wealthy, should you be predestined to lead an unhappy life with your spouse? Secondly, how can you come at perfect mutual understanding with your spouse when every individual is different? So, neither of these answers seems to be a viable option.
Islam has the most practical and easiest solution for you. Simply take care of your spouse’s rights and always keep in touch with Allah Almighty. Dua for happy marriage is the doorway to invoking Allah’s mercy and assistance.
Sometimes, the acceptance of a prayer may be delayed but you need not lose hope in Allah. In verse 53 of Surah Al-Zumar (Chapter 39), Allah says, “O My servants, who have transgressed against themselves (by sinning), do not despair of the mercy of Allah Almighty.”
So, while performing Dua for happy marriage, you must also have a staunch belief that your prayer shall be answered. However, you should be regular and punctual in your prayers and the recitation of the Holy Quran.
